Warbonnet Outdoors Ridgerunner Hammock - is full-featured luxurious Bridge-style hammock with an integrated bug net, large side gear pockets, and spreader bars to create a super flat sleeping area. It fits a user up to 198 cm (6’6″) and is made from breathable fabric. The Ridgerunner is available in a single or double layer body just like the Blackbird to facilitate pad use or heavier individuals.
Thanks to super flat lay it offers the most versatility in positions in which you can sleep comfortably. You can switch sides during the night which you find difficult in a gathered end hammock.
Huge storage pockets are on each side of the hammock which we call "saddlebags", they hang on the outside of the hammock but are accessible from the inside without having to unzip the netting, they also remain fully functional when the netting is packed away. The side pockets are pretty handy and you can fit there anything you want.
While the bug netting isn't completely removable so you can't leave it behind to save weight, it has the ability to be zipped all the way down and stowed away in a special pocket at the foot of the hammock when not needed. This is a really nice feature, as it allows you to clear your side views from netting completely.
Ridgerunner has two poles: a short pole for the foot end and a longer pole for the head end. The head pole breaks down into three pieces, and the foot pole into two. You can also use more lightweight Rutalocura Carbon spreader bars as a substitute for the Warbonnet poles.
Keep your poles organized and safe with this practical Pole bag.
This hammock is a little heavier than traditional gathered end hammocks but the comfort and saddlebags are worth that weight.
The Ridgerunner (40d, single layer) weighs 690g with its bug net, suspension and stuff sack. The extra weight is added due to the 390g spreader bars.
Bridge hammocks are very popular among people looking for a more level sleeping setup. People typically choose bridge hammocks because they find them more comfortable to sleep in than traditional hammocks. Bridge hammocks also support natural foot elevation compared to traditional hammocks where feet are elevated for long periods of time and blood flow decreases, and your feet get colder quicker.
FABRIC: 40D Dream-Tex Nylon combines a traditional ripstop weave with a bias-directional diamond grid to create a fabric that has an incredibly comfortable cotton-like texture.
