GOSSAMER GEAR Kumo 36 Superlight - new with updated recycled Robic fabric and two sizes and colors available. Kumo 36 is great, very well designed pack from Gossamer Gear. It is though, frameless, smaller volume pack, great for smaller, lighter loads for ultralight hikers who have their lightweight gear dialled in.
The recommended carrying capacity of this backpack is up to 9 kg, it can bear more in the short term, but it may no longer be comfortable to carry.
It is made of Recycled Robic nylon fabric. 70D Robic nylon is used for the main pack and thicker more durable 100D Robic nylon for critical areas - bottom of the pack and the side pockets. Robic fabric is waterproof and sheds water well in rain, but the backpack is not completely waterproof and leak at the seams which are not sealed, so we recommend to use waterproof stuff sacks or line the pack with the plastic bag (use durable Nylofume pack liner) to protect your gear against rain and moisture.
Kumo 36 is a fully featured ultralight backpack that can be use as a day hiking backpack, for overnight trips, or can be also use by minimalist thru-hikers.
Kumo 36 has a lot of accessible storage in the large power mesh pocket for wet clothing, in the external pockets for things like snacks, water bottles... and plenty of room on the inside.
If you are trying to lighten your load and are on a budget then you should definitely check out the Kumo 36 from Gossamer Gear.

TORSO LENGTH
Start at the C7 vertebra at the base of your neck. The best way to find this is to bend your neck and feel the first bump along the base of your neck. This bump is where you will want to start your measurement.
Next, you'll want to find the midpoint between your iliac crest. To find your iliac crest, cup your hipbones on both sides and find the center point on your spine. This midpoint is where your thumbs should be pointing.
Finally, you'll need help measuring from the C7 vertebra to your iliac crest. From there, you'll have your torso measurement.
